HRB Open

A platform for HRB-funded researchers to publish their research outputs in an open and accessible way

What is it?

HRB Open Research provides HRB researchers with a place to immediately publish their research outputs followed by independent, invited open peer review. Combined with an Open Data policy, the platform supports research integrity, reproducibility and transparency.

How will it work?

HRB researchers can publish any research outputs they wish to share including standard research papers, data sets, new insights and all findings whether confirmatory or negative results.

HRB Open Research will use the same model that has been established for F1000Research and Wellcome Open Research.

Why are we doing this?

In line with the broader European shift towards open science and more transparent publishing models, we want the research we fund to be open, accessible and usable, so it can have the greatest possible impact. HRB Open Research directly supports the HRB Open Access policy and data sharing initiatives.

When will it happen?

HRB Open Research is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2018. You can stay up-to-date with the latest developments by signing up for alerts.

HRB Open Research will help researchers to publish all findings quickly, easily and responsibly. This will increase transparency, reduce research waste and allow reproducibility of results. Ultimately HRB Open Research will help build more trust in the research process.
